He made the announcement yesterday at a press conference held at SDM Tavern Hotel behind Access Bank, opposite UCH along Total Garden- Secretariat road Ibadan.
While addressing the press, he stated that the event was not only to showcase the foundation’s achievements but to chart a renewed course for development across the South-West and Nigeria.
In his keynote speech titled “Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers: The Power of Community Empowerment,” Amb. Obilade highlighted the foundation’s ongoing efforts in education, economic empowerment, and social welfare. He noted that empowerment is “a revolution of hope and action,” stressing that individuals and communities thrive when equipped with the right tools, skills, and opportunities. He added that the foundation’s scholarship schemes, mentorship programmes, skills training, and microfinance support have continued to transform countless lives across communities.
Amb. Obilade commended the significant reforms and developmental strides recorded under President Tinubu’s administration, describing him as a visionary leader who has consistently broken barriers and built bridges of progress. He listed several major achievements, including infrastructure expansion, health centre rehabilitation, agricultural reforms, education initiatives, and the establishment of new federal institutions. According to him, these accomplishments reflect a leadership style focused on development, inclusion, and prosperity.

Speaking on the need for continuity, the foundation founder declared that President Tinubu deserves a second term based on his impactful policies and ongoing reforms. He urged Nigerians, particularly those from the South-West, to rally behind the President in 2027 to allow him complete the transformative work he has started. He emphasized that the call for Tinubu’s re-election is rooted in a desire for stability, growth, and sustained national progress, not merely political support.
