A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo State and gubernatorial candidate of the party, Chief Saheed Oladele through his Media Office has faulted the claim made by lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency, Hon. Akin Alabi that new alignment will emerge come 2027 to pave the way for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.

In a viral video circulated across the social media, Hon. Akin Alabi narrated the role he played and other lawmakers shortly after they emerged and betrayed the candidate of the party, Oloye Teslim Folarin the gubernatorial election and pitched their followers to vote for Governor Seyi Makinde.
Hon. Alabi said it publicly that the same arrangement that shaped 2023 general elections will repeat itself come 2027.
Chief Oladele who is also the Baameko of Ibadanland, advised Hon. Akin Alabi to approach Governor Seyi Makinde for his third term bid under the platform of People’s Democratic Party, PDP and leave APC alone.

Oladele submitted that; “all President Tinubu needs to do is to put forward a marketable governorship candidate and unifier who will be fair to all sundry irrespective of goe-political zone. Once Asiwaju is able to get this right, 2027 presidential and governorship elections will be a smooth sail for APC in Oyo State”.
Oladele urged Hon. Alabi to retract his statement and apologise to Oyo APC and its teeming members to avoid further backlash.
