The Vice Chairman, South West Agenda SWAGA ’23, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi on Saturday met Imperial Majesty, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III at his palace ahead of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s consultation visit with the monarch scheduled for Sunday, February 20th, 2022.
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Tinubu has signified his interest to contest for the office of the president come 2023.
Ever since Tinubu formally informed President Muhammadu Buhari, the former Lagos State Governor has been restless moving from one region to another to meet stakeholders and intimate them about his presidential ambition.
While speaking about the visit to Alaafin of Oyo, Senator Akanbi said his visit was initiated on behalf of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure everything go on accordingly.
Senator Akanbi said he is optimistic that presidential ambition of Tinubu will scale through with the support of everyone.
