Another crisis hit the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of its senatorial primary elections scheduled to hold on Friday as former Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli dropped ambition due to what he described ‘jaundiced delegate lists in circulation’.
Barrister Alli in a press statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan said he was angered by the fraudulent practices and lack of internal democracy in the party.
“This fraud started since the ward, local and state congresses of Oyo APC in 2021. And we had complained severally to the national secretariat, yet no meaningful reconciliation was achieved”.
“On this, I, Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli is using this medium to inform all my teeming supporters that I am no more interested in the Oyo South senatorial district as a candidate. Further consultations and next line of action shall be communicated to you in due course”.
