Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Lekan Balogun, Ali Okunmade II has advised Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to reconcile with Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and other aggrieved governors of the party.
Oba Lekan Balogun on Thursday made the charge when Alhaji Atiku Abubakar paid him a courtesy visit at his Alarere Palace before he proceeded to presidential campaign rally of the party at historic Mapo Hall.
The monarch described Atiku as his friend told him likely consequence crisis in his party may cause as we approach 2023 general elections.
The monarch urged Atiku to consider creation of Ibadan State if becomes president of Nigeria.
While speaking at the palace, Atiku assured Olubadan that if elected as president, his government would make traditional leaders relevant with believe that they have native intelligent on how to end insecurity in the country.
Atiku harped on the role of traditional institution during the colonial era which centres on maintenance of law and order in their respective community.
Among those on Atiku’s were Vice Presidential candidate of the party, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, Senator Dino Melaye and other stakeholders of the party.
