The Chairman, Board of Commissioners, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Adeolu Akande has revealed that no fewer than 18 tertiary institutions and 20 major markets across the country will benefit from the NCC multi-billion Naira unlimited internet access projects.
Prof. Akande made the clarification while speaking in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja at the unveiling of the new beneficiaries of the projects.

According to Prof. Akande, The Federal College of Education,(Special),Oyo and Bodija Market in Ibadan are among beneficiaries of the unlimited internet access initiative of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC).
“Under the project,the beneficiaries will be provided with broadband infrastructure for unlimited internet access. It is part of the National Broadband Plan of the Muhammadu Buhari Administration through which the government aspires to achieve 95 percent internet penetration by the year 2025.

“The project involves provision of unlimited internet access broadband infrastructure in 18 higher institutions and 20 major markets across the country”.
