When Engr Seyi Makinde was first elected as the Executive Governor of Oyo State in 2019 under the platform of People Democratic Party (PDP), some people had doubt about his competence while others viewed him as an underdog, that can never achieve any great feat in the State.
Makinde a certified Engineer who appeared cool, calm and at the same time tone-deaf like Ashake (Nigerian Afrobeat Singer – that sang Lonely on the top) who claimed they have cut off his ears – that he didn’t heard anything has to the surprise and elation of many, proved doubting Thomases wrong with his sterling achievements and laudable landmarks which are not only visible to the blind but also audible to the deaf.
As Seyi Makinde prepares to mark 100 days in office for his second term glorious return this week, even his critics have kept mute because Governor Makinde without wasting time, swung into action with a view to justifying the confidence reposed in him by the electorates.

For this second term (Omituntun 2.0) 100 days in office, Governor Seyi Makinde will commission 34.85km Oyo-Iseyin Federal road that has suffered neglect for many years thereby creating serious health challenges for the motorists and the nearby villagers.
Kotan sibẹ, another laudable project that will be commissioning on that same day is the newly constructed LAUTECH College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, Iseyin campus which has evolved what a beautiful campus scenery to behold.
It’s common knowledge that selfless service to humanity, devotion to duty, and sense of generosity are some of the qualities every good leader is expected to possess, especially when the leader is democratically elected.
It’s in view of this, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde in his unrelenting efforts towards ensuring that the people of Oyo State enjoy the dividends of democracy and attain the highest height.
As as transformational leader, Governor Makinde has continued to take bold steps in fulfilling all his campaign promises to the people, most especially developmental projects and investment in human capacity.

Moreover, other road projects which are awaiting for commissioning by the governor within his second term in office were objectively awarded in areas where residents yearning for road construction and rehabilitation in both the state capital and all geo-political zones.
Seyi Makinde is indeed, the Atunluse of Oyo state with his level of developmental and people-oriented style of governance. My governor, the Lord who has been guiding your steps will never abandon you. History will forever be kind to you!
