The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, FAS, mni, on Friday thanked donors for supporting the Faculty of Agriculture with a new signpost and a digital billboard.
He appreciated the generosity of the alumni that are giving back in order to sustain the University system, thus raising the bar to a greater height.

Professor Adebowale stated that the University has concluded arrangements to leverage its Alumni community to move the University forward. To this end, he said efforts are in top gear to compile the list of all (alumni) matriculated students of the University with a view to reaching out to them.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the efforts of the Faculty of Agriculture for which the Faculty was recently named a Centre of Excellence by the Agricultural Research and Innovation Fellowship for Africa (ARIFA).
The New Signpost was donated by Rev. Dr. John Aniemeke (UI Alumnus 2005) and the Digital Billboard was donated by Prof. A. Akinsoyinu, a former Dean of the Faculty.
The Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Stella Odebode had said that the projects were donated to support the Faculty to fulfill its social responsibilities and make teaching and learning more effective through the provision of a conducive environment for students.
She appreciated the various donations recently made to the Faculty and stated that the Faculty of Agriculture remains ever grateful to all donors, past, present and in the future.
