Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has charged Christians to be their brother’s keeper and cheerful giver to all and sundry.
Senator Akanbi made the call at the 2021 Service of Carols and Nine Lessons organized by NTA Ibadan with the theme ‘He, Our Peace’.
In her welcome address, NTA Ibadan Zonal Director, Engr Omolola Olorode described Senator Akanbi as a man of the people that has taken humanity to another level.
Engr Olorode commended Senator Akanbi’s humility and tolerance for deeming it fit to attend the programme in person and not sending representative.
Okanlomo of Ibadanland stressed the importance of living together in peace, unity and love without playing religious card which is capable of causing conflict in society and country at large.
He took the cue from Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation (RAAF) where beneficiaries of the foundation under Health Care Programme domiciled at the University College Hospital (UCH) were from different religious background.
Senator Akanbi affirmed his commitment to religion tolerance and wish all Christians Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year ahead.
