The joy and excitement of residents and commercial operators of Adetokun area could not be hidden as Oke’Badan North Local Community Development Area, Chairman, Hon. Ganiyu Abiodun Omotoso turned the sod of the sinking of an industrial borehole at the community.
Omotoso at the launch of the water project on Friday applauded the youth’s association of the community for bringing the attention of his government to the need of the people.
He said the facilitation of the project was in continuation of the series of the developmental investments of his administration across the length and breath of Oke’Badan development area.
According to him, it’s another memorable day for me to fulfill the promise made by our administration in improving the quality of live of the inhabitants and commercial drivers of Adetokun community.
I believe the provision of this motorized borehole water system on completion will not only solve the scarcity of water but assuage the suffering of fetching water across the ever busy Ido – Ologuneru road which has caused many road crashes and left many mostly women injured on crossing the road with water contents.

He stated that his administration has situated a lot of social and economic projects worth over #200m at the community (Ward 11) by noting the construction of Oba Ido concrete box culvert, rehabilitation of the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) secretariat, provision of soft loans to a different almagamated group of traders, artisanal support scheme and many more demand-driven for the human and social development, he concluded.
The chairman who is equally the candidate for chairmanship of Ibadan North West Local Government in the forthcoming state local government election therefore implored the residents, shop owners and various socio-political groups in the community to continue supporting the Allied People’s Movement (APM) administration led by His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde as well as Oke’Badan North Local Council Development Area in delivering many more lofty projects for the better life of the people at the grassroots.
Omotoso used the occasion to solicit undivided support for all the candidates of the APM in the 2027 general elections saying the victory of Governor Seyi Makinde as President of Nigeria will break the shackle of poverty being vested on the general masses by the present administration at the center while the election of Bimbo Adekanmbi as Oyo State Governor will ensure the continuity of the unprecedented developments in the state.
Among the community leaders present were Mr. Aderemi Ajiboye, Chairman Oluwawomi Community, Mr. Muritala Olapade, Chairman, Aafin Iyanu, Tajudeen Oladipo, Mr. Kazeem Alabi, Mr. Saheed Ishola, Mrs. Iyabo Adeyemo, the Coordinator and Secretary Adetokun Youths Forum respectively.
