Each time I listened to Governor Seyi Makinde’s sermons about good governance and his ” Reset Nigeria Agenda”, I always laughed.
In actual facts, if not for the provision of section 308 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, this is someone who should be answering questions before Anti-corruption Agencies as we speak.
Fortunately for him, the Constitution still allows him some room to go about parading himself as the Messiah Nigeria has been waiting for.
As a follow up to my story titled ” Governor Seyi Makinde, Where are the Ajumose Buses?”, I received further revelations about the activities of the illegal organization called the Park Management System, PMS in Oyo state.
It was alleged that Seye Famojuro and one fellow named Lekan are actually the ones printing tickets and handing them over to the different Local Governments Branches of the PMS.
In fact, these tickets are supposed to be printed by each of the Local Governments and the revenues collected from the sales of the tickets, in a normal situation, ought to be paid directly into the purses of the Local Governments, but, alas, Seye Famojuro and the fellow named Lekan are alleged to have been usurping this responsibilities.
Lekan is a domestic staff of Governor Seyi Makinde. He is alleged to be the one ironing the clothes of the Governor. He is also alleged to always be in possession of the cash meant for give aways by the Governor.
I was informed and allegedly so, that while the 33 Local Governments received a paltry sum of 120,000 Naira on a monthly basis from the sales of tickets handed over to them by Seye Famojuro and Lekan, the duo receives over 60 million Naira every month from the sales of this tickets! It is also alleged that the money is always delivered to them by cash. Money, which should have constituted Internally Generated Revenues for the 33 Local Governments are allegedly delivered to Seye Famojuro and Lekan!
The worst part of the story is that, while Seye Famojuro and Lekan are allegedly receiving the sum of over 60 million Naira on a monthly basis from the sales of tickets, the 33 Local Governments, all together, receives a paltry 3,960,000 million Naira monthly.
It is further alleged that apart from the monthly payment of over 60 million Naira to Seye and Lekan on a monthly basis, Seye Famojuro always received unspecified amounts of money from the PMS every Monday.
I think we now know why Governor Seyi Makinde mentioned the sum of 60 million Naira as the monthly IGR received through the PMS in a 2023 debate.
There is no doubt that there is a secret dirty deals between the Leadership of the PMS and Seye Famojuro.
Seye Famojuro is an Ijesa man and allegedly, the current fellow heading the PMS in Oyo state is also an Ijesa man.
The current revelation has necessitated the updating of my petition before certain Anti-corruption Agencies, but not only that, we must ensure that Governor Seyi Makinde is made to answer certain questions at this point.
Oyo state citizens deserve to know how much was obtained as loans to build the Bus Terminals and which tier of Government is repaying the loan.
The citizens deserve to have documentary audit reports on the activities of the PMS since it was formed till today.
We want to know how much is being remitted to the Local Governments through the PMS on a monthly basis and we need documentary evidence not some watery explanations from Government spokespersons.
We want to know, who is responsible for the printing of tickets that are being sold by the PMS in all the Local Governments.
Not only that, in clear terms, we want to know, what business does Seye Famojuro and Lekan have with the PMS in Oyo state.
Are they Consultants or what? Some days ago, I saw a picture of Seye Famojuro telling some people that he is a member of the PMS. If he is, in what capacity is he serving the PMS?
The kind of properties being acquired by the Leadership of the PMS in Oyo state would blow away the minds of any reasonable human being.
Nothing is hidden and by the grace of God Almighty, we will get to the roots of this also.
The other time, I responded to a video where Seye Famojuro was singing “….. A o le salo nile yi….”.
It’s just a question of when, not if. If a stranger is found to have illegally enriched himself with the resources of our state, he will run. No matter how he fortifies himself.
Government is usually described as having the capacity to arrest a criminal despite his protective charms. ( Ijoba a mu ni mu oogun).
Thankfully, most of those who have been suspected of stealing from the PMS are daft enough to be acquiring choice properties under our noses and if they think they will quickly rush to sell them, those who bought such properties would bear the losses.
So, beware of buying properties from suspected thieves.
