The Organic Nigerians Convergence has declared its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, ahead of the 2027 general election.
The group also pledged to mobilise more than 200,000 votes for Alli across the state, citing his experience in public service, political maturity and ability to relate with people across different sections of society as some of the reasons for its decision.
The declaration was made on Thursday in Ibadan during a gathering of members and supporters of the organisation and was covered by BSA Voice of Reason Media.
According to the Coordinator-General of the Organic Nigerians Convergence, Adekanmbi Siyanbade, the group comprises professionals and ordinary Nigerians from different backgrounds, including farmers, traders, barbers, business owners and other members of society.
Siyanbade said the organisation was established to encourage citizens to take an active role in determining who governs them, particularly because government policies and decisions directly affect people’s businesses, livelihoods and future.
He explained that the group believes citizens should carefully assess candidates and support individuals they consider capable of providing effective and responsible leadership.
In his declaration, Siyanbade outlined the reasons behind the group’s decision to endorse Senator Sharafadeen Alli and also announced the group’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

Thank you all for being here tonight. Look around this room. The vibrant colors, the energy, and the banners surrounding us are not just decorations. They represent a shared vision, a collective hope, and our unwavering commitment to [Sen.Barr Sharafadeen Alli]
We have gathered to this space to mirror the energy of Organic Nigerians. Every banner stands for progress. Every light symbolizes the bright future we are building together. And every person in this room represents the heartbeat of this campaign.
As its evident nowadays,
governance in our state directly affects the people and their business.
It’s therefore important that everybody should be a partaker in the choice of whom is going to become the government or the leader in their states.
This junction is where (we) the people of a state can no longer remain on the fence without participating in the active election process in our states.
Organic Nigerians is the convergence of professional individuals in different fields, common Nigerians, with no active political party affiliation, and with the same ideology to unanimously support persons with best potentials into position of powers for our nation building,
Our members cut across all professions from different societal classes,
Our objective and aims is to resolve and vote for candidates with most potentials for the available positions of elective offices in our states and the National,
To give our common support and our votes to the best proven individual amongst the candidates in the general elections.
In our belief, a Nigeria leader must know his people, understand the importance of every class group within territory without supremacist mindset,
leaders should be acceptable by the majority, and should be able to relate freely with the majority and the minority in his society, so that he can listen and be listened to in return.
A Nation building is job for leaders that can keep the society balanced.
As governance and Leadership in a state is more than just construction of projects alone,
It has shown in our studies and deliberations that project execution is the least of the job of a leader, and the easiest thing to do when building a Nation if funding is already accessible,
it’s equally the most widely used means and avenue to misuse or siphoned public funds when the government falls into the wrong hands .
Again, a poor developmental infrastructure in a state can also be referred to as lack of enabling policies that can sustain or support plan in the nearest future of a state or the system,
so therefore , lack of infrastructure can also mean lack of a good policy or blueprint that can form a foundation document for a vision of nation building for future generations.
And so ,In Oyo state We need a leader that can make the balance between policy infrastructure and projects infrastructure ,
We can’t afford to be that state that is disconnected from the improvement from the centre, and from other South-Western states for regional development.
Sen. Sharafadeen Alli as the most qualified candidate for the Oyo State government job;
He is emotionally stable.
He is a calm person.
He is consistent.
He has been the SSG in Oyo State.
He is politically stable.
While It takes a non greedy minded person to work with baba Ladoja for a long time.
He is mature and Calculative.
He is a steady politician.
He can be trusted with power.
He is a friend to many people in the state.
Asiwaju has recently showcased in the security architecture of Nigeria that good policy framework is also a form of infrastructure, by creating the office of the Homeland security in addition to the existing security structure of the NSA which will automatically bust the security infrastructure of Nigeria as a state in the future, it shows that nation building is more than just physical project construction.
As part of the reflection on the last 3 years of this Tinubu administration.
With Renewed Hope policy of generosity for grassroots development, the state and local governments autonomy is another new infrastructural document for the development of Nigeria to be used as a National driving force in infrastructure policy enabler for the future generations.
The Renewed Hope is presently demonstrated by Asiwaju as the best development agenda of governance in all ramifications for the Nigeria nation in recent times, and we believe it’s improvement will soon start to reflect in the life of the lowest class of Nigeria.
With these qualities in Sen Sharafadeen Alli, and Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu we have found this natural balanced ingredients of experience in public services, politics of local intelligence that embodies relationships with other leaders, and state actors across board, compared to other contestants against them for this 2027 general election
Thus, In President Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu (PBAT)as the President of Nigeria for the second term, and Sen. Shafadeen Alli( BSA27) as the governor of Oyo State,
It is on this basis that the Organic Nigerians have thrown our support behind Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu of APC and Sharafadeen Alli of APC as our presidential and Gubernatorial candidates respectively for the coming 2027 general election.
