The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator (Dr) Sharafadeen Alli, has congratulated the party’s Oyo North Senatorial Candidate and former Head of Service in the state, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, MFR, on her birthday.
In a congratulatory message, Alli said Ogunesan’s journey from the civil service to the pinnacle of the state’s public administration was a testament to her competence, discipline, intellectual capacity and commitment to excellence.
Alli described Ogunesan as a distinguished administrator, accomplished public servant and woman of courage whose remarkable contributions to the development of Oyo State have continued to speak loudly for her.
He said her emergence as the APC candidate for Oyo North Senatorial District was a well-deserved opportunity for the people of the district to benefit from her wealth of experience, noting that legislative representation requires people with proven records of service and deep understanding of governance.
According to him, Ogunesan represents the best of what public service should be in terms of commitment without excuses, leadership without arrogance and service without selfishness.
“Chief (Mrs) Hannah Ogunesan is a woman of substance whose footprints in the Oyo State public service cannot be wished away. She rose through the ranks and earned the respect that accompanied her appointment as Head of Service.
“Her record is a compelling evidence that competence, diligence and integrity remain indispensable ingredients of purposeful leadership.
“As she celebrates another year, I have no doubt that she will bring these qualities to bear in representing the good people of Oyo North,” Alli said.
The APC governorship candidate further described Ogunesan’s candidacy as an important addition to the party’s 2027 team, expressing confidence that her experience and grassroots understanding would strengthen the APC’s campaign and electoral prospects across Oyo North.
He added that her birthday offered an opportunity for the people of Oyo State to appreciate a public servant who, through decades of service, had demonstrated that leadership is ultimately measured by the value one adds to society.
Alli urged her supporters, political associates and constituents to celebrate not only her birthday but also her years of service, sacrifice and contribution to the advancement of Oyo State.
