The Okanlomo Oódua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and commended Nigeria’s security agencies for their professionalism, courage, and unwavering commitment, following the successful rescue of the students and teachers abducted at Esiele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Chief Sanusi described the safe return of the victims as a moment of immense relief and thanksgiving for their families, the people of Oyo State, and indeed all Nigerians who had remained hopeful and prayed fervently for their freedom.

He praised President Tinubu for providing the leadership and strategic support that continue to strengthen the nation’s security architecture, while also acknowledging the gallant efforts of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies whose coordinated operations made the rescue possible.

According to him, the successful operation is a clear demonstration that with strong leadership, effective inter-agency collaboration, and sustained government support, Nigeria’s security institutions possess the capacity to confront criminal elements, safeguard lives, and restore public confidence.

Chief Sanusi urged the security agencies not to relent in their efforts but to sustain the current momentum by intensifying operations against kidnappers, bandits, and other criminal elements threatening the peace, security, and stability of communities across the country.

He also appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely, credible, and actionable intelligence, stressing that the fight against insecurity requires collective responsibility and active citizen participation.

While expressing profound gratitude to Almighty God for preserving the lives of the rescued students and teachers, the renowned philanthropist prayed for their complete physical, emotional, and psychological recovery from the traumatic ordeal. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, security, unity, and sustainable development in Oyo State and across Nigeria.
