Sarafa Olaoniye has won the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election for Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency.
This is contained in a statement made available by his Media Aide, Taoreed Adeniran. According to the statement, Olaoniye secured the highest number of votes in the just concluded primary to emerge as the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 general election.

The statement said the aspirant expressed gratitude to delegates, party leaders, and members across the two local government areas for their support and confidence in his candidacy.
Olaoniye described the outcome as a call to service and pledged to run an inclusive campaign that would bring all stakeholders together. He urged members of the party to set aside differences and work for the collective success of the APC in the constituency.
“My victory is for every member of this party and every resident of Ibarapa Central and North. We will build a representation that listens, responds, and delivers,” he said.
He also commended fellow aspirants for their participation, noting that the process had strengthened internal democracy within the party.
Party chieftains in the constituency said Olaoniye’s emergence reflected his consistent engagement with the grassroots and his reputation for accessibility.
The statement added that consultations would begin immediately with leaders, youth groups, women organisations, and traditional institutions to harmonise priorities ahead of the main election.
