Amb. (Dr) Gbenga Clement Obilade, founder of the Gbenga Obilade’s Foundation has sent his heartfelt greetings to all Muslim and Christian faithful all over the world as the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent commence.
Dr Obilade in a press statement said that holy periods remind everyone of the timeless virtues of faith, sacrifice, self-discipline, love, and compassion—values that society needs now more than ever.
Dr Obilade, who was recently conferred with the Justice of the Peace by Oyo State government said; “Ramadan calls our Muslim brothers and sisters to fasting, prayer, and renewed devotion to Allah, while Lent invites our Christian brethren into reflection, repentance, and deeper commitment to God.”

Bobagunwa of Akinjole Community said Ramadan and Lent observed differently, but noted that both seasons share a common message: “to cleanse the heart, uplift the spirit, and strengthen our duty to humanity.”
Dr Obilade stressed that Ramadan and Lent came
at a time when many families are facing economic pressures, insecurity, and uncertainty. He urged every household to allow the lessons of Ramadan and Lent to guide their conduct.

He called for more tolerance, a more charitable act, and more united. He advised well-to-do individuals to remember the less privileged, the widows, the orphans, and the struggling families in communities. He reiterated that no society grows when its people are divided.
“No state prospers when its citizens lose hope.
Oyo State has always been blessed with resilient, hardworking, and peace-loving people. It is this strength of character and unity of purpose that must continue to define us.”
Happy Ramadan and a fruitful Lenten season.
