Hon. Adebayo Adepoju, the lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central/North federal constituency has announced completion of the construction of first-ever constituency central library.
The lawmaker made this known through his official social media handle on Wednesday, January 21st. According to Hon. Adepoju, the commissioning of the facility will hold soon.
Hon. Adepoju reminded his constituents that foundation for the project was laid by the first One-Day Hose of Representatives Members in Nigeria, Hon. (Miss) Peace Oluwaseyi Oladosu on March 13, 2015.
Dr Adepoju stressed that the public library will be well equipped with up-to-date materials and relevant facilities like ICT to serve its core purpose of supporting research and innovation, preservation of history in the constituency and beyond, as well as building a cohesive community through social connections and community engagement.
He recounted that the non-availability of a public central library in the past in the constituency has negatively impacted access to information and knowledge acquisition by students, researchers and visitors.

In a similar development, the lawmaker provided update on the progress of the upgrade and renovation of the Igangan Town Hall that he commenced on January 6, 2026.
He said that his vision concerning the state-of-the-art project is primarily to have a fully equipped modern town hall, vocational and educational centres all in one, where teeming youths, including students and residents, can hold their social events, engage in different vocational skill acquisition programmes and sit for examinations such as JAMB.
Hon. Adepoju expressed his satisfaction with the speed at which the project is taking place.
Our ongoing construction of lawn tennis and basketball courts at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, will soon be ready to enhance sports activities for thousands of students on the campus.
