His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1) has directed all His Royal Highnesses in Ibadanland to ensure the security of life and property in Ibadanland in particular and Oyo State at large.
The charge was contained in the press release issued and signed by the Olubadan Chief Press Secretary Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga shortly after the meeting between Olubadan and members of Olubadan In – Council with members of the Association of His Royal Highnesses of Ibadanland on Tuesday at Olubadan Palace Oke-Aremo , Ibadan.

“You were installed as the Royal Highnesses to primarily protect the life and property of your subjects in your domains , the paramount ruler reminded the Royal Highnesses
“Don’t tell me that you don’t know the hide outs of the Fulani herdsmen,land grabbers and other criminals in Ibadanland, adding that the afore mentioned group of people couldn’t perform their atrocities without your knowledge and support”, Oba Ladoja stressed.
“We are here to principally discuss the issues of insecurity, sustenance of traditional authority and land grabbing menace that are giving us sleepless nights ,i charge you all to give serious attention on how these atrocities can be reduced to the nearest minimum if not totally eradicated as you will be held responsible for crimes committed by these unscrupulous elements you harbour in your areas of jurisdiction ” Oba Ladoja warned
The Olubadan of Ibadanland admonished the Royal Highnesses to take the messages down to all Baales and Mogajis in their domains for full implementation
In conclusion, His Imperial Majesty frowned at the dilapidated buildings at the urban and rural areas of Ibadanland where the miscreants are using as their abodes and the ideas of some traditional rulers to abandon their family compounds and settle down at their estates or foreign countries will no longer be tolerated, adding that they have it as duty to be visiting their family compounds and villages to rebuild them in consonance with the present Olubadan program of urban renewal
In his address during the visit, the Chairman of the Association of His Royal Highnesses in Ibadanland, His Royal Highness Oba Adebowale Kamarudeen Adeyemi , the Oniladuntan of Laduntan disclosed that they visited Olubadan of Ibadanland to further affirm their solidarity in building new Ibadanland where peace, security, socio – cultural and improved economic development will be guaranteed
His Royal Highness, Oba Adewale Adeyemi pleaded for the involvement of his fellow members in the activities that have to do with the unity and progress of Ibadanland as we are your gate keepers and are also here to receive your royal blessings as requested by other Royal Highnesses within and outside Oyo State
In a related development, the executive members of the Society of Engineers paid Olubadan solidarity visit led by their President Engineer Margret Aina Oguntala (FNSE)
Speaking through the Chairman Ibadan branch, Engineer Ayokunnu Olukunmi Oyedele (MNSE), the society appreciated Oba Ladoja for giving them a site to build their Ibadan branch office and pledged their support for the administration of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland and that they are prepared to join hands to lift Ibadanland to an enviable position in its developmental projects
Other groups that paid solidarity visits to hOlubadan were management staff of University Teaching Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, the Executive members of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria led by their President Prof Pius Deji Olanrewaju
