Happy birthday to Prof. Adebola Babatunde Ekanola, mni, fspsp, a distinguished Nigerian academic and former Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan! As a renowned philosopher, Prof. Ekanola has made significant contributions to the fields of ethics, social philosophy and peace studies, particularly in the context of African development.
Throughout his remarkable career, Prof. Ekanola has held various leadership positions, including Director of the Office of International Programmes (OIP), Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the University of Ibadan. Born on December 2, 1969, in Ibadan, his commitment to academic excellence and institutional development has earned him numerous accolades. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.
As Prof. Ekanola celebrates another birthday, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes for fulfilling years ahead. May he continue to find favour from the Lord. May his wisdom, experience and passion for education continue to inspire future generations of scholars and leaders.
