Distinguished Senator Yunus Akintunde has congratulated Chief (Dr.) Mrs. Florence Ajimobi on her nomination as an Ambassador-Designate, expressing strong confidence in her capacity to represent Nigeria with excellence on the global stage.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a letter transmitted to the Senate, released another list of career and non-career ambassadorial nominees for screening and confirmation. Among the nominees is Chief (Dr.) Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, wife of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

Senator Akintunde, who represents Oyo Central Senatorial District in a release made available by Kunle Olatunji his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, described the former First Lady as “a perfect and excellent choice,” noting that her wealth of experience, exposure, and distinguished service to Oyo State and Nigeria make her eminently qualified for the diplomatic assignment.
“With her vast international exposure, corporate governance experience, and deep understanding of global relations, Mrs. Ajimobi stands tall and will undoubtedly represent Nigeria admirably wherever she is posted,” Senator Akintunde said.
He added that his close working relationship with her over the years gives him absolute confidence in her ability to excel in her new role.
