Former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikun Amosun will deliver te second edition of the Lam Adesina Annual Lecture Series (LAALS) schedule to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, November 11.
The event is organised in honour of the late former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina, who governed the state between 1999 and 2003 and died on November 11, 2012, at the age of 73.
In a statement signed by the chairman of the organising committee, Iyiola Oladokun, who served as Mr Adesina’s deputy during his tenure, the lecture will take place at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Liberty Stadium Road, Ibadan.
Mr Oladokun said, “All the sub-committees in charge of different aspects of the second edition of the lecture series have concluded their assignments.”

He added that the high point of the event will be a special lecture titled “Sustaining a Legacy of Effective Leadership in Nigeria: The Imperative for Citizens’ Education” to be delivered by former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
“All our guests are expected to arrive early because we are expecting President Bola Tinubu and his entourage to be at the event. Many royal fathers and prominent politicians are also going to grace the event to honour our Great Lam.”
When contacted, one of the children of the late governor, former House of Representatives member Dapo Lam-Adesina, said he was grateful to everyone supporting the event.
“I appreciate all those who have, one way or the other, been contributing to the hosting of the lecture series,” he said. “I am optimistic that LAALS 2025 will also record resounding success.”
Lam Adesina, popularly known as Great Lam, was a teacher, journalist and politician.
He was a founding member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and served as a member of the House of Representatives during the Second Republic.
The lecture is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
