Veteran broadcaster and public affairs commentator, Mr Babajide Kolade-Otitoju has said that those asking Aliko Dangote, the Chairman of Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals to announce pump price of premium motor spirit popularly called petroleum are not fair to themselves.

Mr Babajide Kolade-Otitoju said that people should wait till October 1st, the federal government agreed with Dangote for the supply of crude oil to the refinery in exchange for Naira will commence.

He made the statement on Journalists’ Hangout, on TVC News while reacting to the concern of oil marketers about the delay in announcing price of PMS being produced by Dangote Petroleum Refinery as they noted that the landing cost of imported PMS is now about N1,120 per litre.

Mr Kolade-Otitoju appealed to Nigerians to be patient since NNPCL said it has more than one billion litres of crude oil to supply Dangote Petroleum Refinery from October 1.

He said the price of petrol will  be lesser when it is sourced locally instead of importing but not a guarantee to crash in price.
